Trendspotting - Menswear 2012 - Rainbow Brights!

I am so happy to see vibrant hues instead of the typical blacks, greys and neutrals. I want to grab all these models and lie them down in a giant circle and make them my own manly color wheel!

I have a few tips, boys.

Trendspotting - Menswear 2012 - Footwear Faux-Pas

The runways of Milan taught a lot of us what NOT to allow our boyfriends/fathers/brothers to wear. Let's start from the bottom and work out way up.

Gentlemen, knee cleavage is not attractive. If you're going to show your knees, show your shins too. Long socks and shorts weren't cool when you're grandpa wore them, and they aren't cool now.

I personally have no issue with the "no socks" trend, but my fabulous nephew has informed me that it is repulsive, and so I'll cave on this one. I guess ankle cleavage isn't cute either? The only problem I can see is that those poor tootsies rubbing up against leather must give awful blisters. meh.

Yes, Another Trendspotting - I'm Feeling Blue

Despite it being beautiful outside, I was feeling a little down in the dumps today. So for today's blog, let's talk about being blue. I'm always happy when I see vivid colors on the runway. There have been so many romantic dresses in muted colors - beige, ivory, a dusty rose if we're lucky. Alexander McQueen, whose runway shows were always guaranteed to be stunning and provocative, was silenced to whispers in wispy white, punctuated with harsh punches of black. I was dying to see some color, and the half-hearted lilac dress that shuffled out was nowhere near enough. So let's focus on the collections that brought some vibrancy. Let's focus on all things blue....
