Introducing Jourdan Dunn - Super-Modeling From The Margins

Jourdan Dunn has attracted attention because of the lack of black models in the fashion modelling industry.  As Sarah Doukas, head of Storm Management, said, "I feel, if she does have great success, she will have a big effect on the way people look at different kinds of beauty". I have compiled highlights of her career, including runway work, ad campaigns and editorials. As you view them, think what her work says about the fashion industry. What kind of ads and editorials does she get? How do these compare to the work European models get? Her runway work shows that she has high fashion potential. So why then, do her editorials focus more on athletic looks, or more commercial work? These are some questions I'd like to consider over the following week.
