Alexander McQueen, Fall/Winter 2012-13, Paris

Here are the highlights from the show that got the bloggers all in a tizzy. The first six looks were barely distinguishable from each other, and then... Well... Have you ever watched those fancy dog shows? You know, the ones where dowdy women in bad suits make their pompadoured poodles run through hoops? Well, for some strange reason, those images flashed before my eyes while poring over these photos. Enjoy!

I'm just trying to figure out how one would sign their credit card receipt when they have
crinolines on their forearms... Never mind use the ladies room.

I love this! I'm going to dress up as a peony for Halloween too!

  1. I have so many questions.

But the red floor length gown and the last black one we will probably see on a red carpet making it's way to the worst dressed list.

The peony shoes by themselves are pretty cute.

This makes me think of dusters and dogs. Not a charming mental image. Those poor models. No wonder they had blinders on. Wish we did too.

  2. It's an interesting show, at least towards the end. This stuff will look awesome in an editorial. I kind of like the peony look, but I think there's going to be a lot of editing before this collection hits the rack.

  3. I saw the whole show, albeit in pictures only, and I wasn't impressed. While it's interesting I don't think it has any of what McQueen was know for. It's garish for the majority of it. The puffball black pieces are just so . . . I don't want to be mean but . . . ugly.

    I was disappointed.
