Model Monday - Introducing Ginta Lapina (updated!)

Introducing

If Julia Saner from last week was our angel, Ginta is definitely our little nymph.  Her large eyes and heart shaped face, when coupled with her joyful spirit and lively energy give her an otherworldly, fairy-like image.  She looks childlike, and yet she is capable of capturing many different looks with her expression and movement.

Here are some beauty looks from her runway shows.

Ginta's breakthrough season was Fall/Winter 2010 when she walked for 41 shows. She's walked the runway for Marc Jacobs, Dolce and Gabbana, Versace, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, YSL, Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, Fendi, Rodarte, Dior and many others.

Haute Couture, Spring 2011: Chanel, Valentino, Dior
RTW Fall 2011 : Oscar de la Renta, Marc Jacobs, Valentino
RTW Cavalli, Anna Sui, Chanel

Ginta is the face of a number of beauty and fashion campaigns.  You may recognize her from the following ads.

She also is used frequently for catalogue work.

  1. She's gorgeous and lovey and I would love to draw her face. However, she doesn't command attention, she needs the dramatic makeup to pop. Other wise she looks very pretty but very girl next door. Not stunning. She does have a good amount of expression though.

  2. yeah, her face is a canvas, which is what makes her such a good model. You get to choose who she is on your runway, or for your editorial. I love how unrecognizable she can be.

I posted this now, even though I wanted to add some more candids, backstages and street style, but I didn't want to lose anything like last week. I'll add them now.

  4. Yeah, I really like her face. She's such a little imp. She seems like the model version of our little Walter.
